The Silly Knight: Prologue
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
A knight finds himself in a prison cell. Ah, an instant classic. Help him escape and see what is hiding behind the door.
This is a free demo for a short game I plan to make when I have time and money.
- Short point-and-click mystery experience
- Cozy vibes of medieval penitentiary facilities
- Lazy hand-drawn 2D graphics and animation
- Some guitar jams you can call a soundtrack
- Mediocre voice acting to torture your ears
Additional sound effects from freesound.org
Fonts from Google Fonts (Pangolin & Sofia Sans)
Made with Visionaire Studio 5

Translator, silly man, and probably a cat
This demo wouldn't see the light of day without the help of my dear friends and egg-xecutive producers Christopher Sacchi and Bea Armstrong.

Oh, this is but an adventure in itself to run apps on Mac these days, right? :)
Thank you and enjoy the prologue!

Tried out your game!
Was anyone able to play the flute?
This was super fun, I can't wait to see more!
Now I need more. Great art and a very clever way to reuse the setting. Ah! It works in my Mac M1 without problems.
I liked it very much and I think you guys showed the demo as a humorous game but I think maybe we will see some psychological horror aspects or maybe only a dark atmosphere hiding in this cute artstyle
Glad I clicked "Go Back". Interesting and fun little diversion, Happy I played it. good luck finishing it!
watchu know about them jews, son
wats with the windo
Can't wait to see the full thing.
I loved it! Please find the time and money to make it a full game :) Maybe Kickstarter could help with one of those?
i'd donate, and i havent even played the game, the title sold me
Cool, I enjoyed playing what is there so far. The personality of the knight is quite entertaining and I enjoyed combining the tail bone and string to fish to get the key, I like when these games get you to do stuff that makes actual sense but still have something unexpected happen.
I hope a full version of this comes out! I had so much fun. Great job. It was funny, interesting, and had great sound. Can't wait to see more!
I made a video if anyone wants to see:
Oh, thanks for the video!
That was cool, and quite haunting! 🚪
Golders green
Android pls?
download says it's damaged on M1 mac
same
Please check the install instructions above, it's a tricky process but manageable
nope. i wouldn't have mentioned an open warning. the error says the package is damaged. i have even tried to run the Visionaire Player from inside the App-Package. Then the error says that the Visionaire Player is damaged.
I have also tried to download Visionaire Studio and use the Player and dynamic libs from there (which is from April 2024). Same thing happens.
I then tried to start an old Visionaire game. ZakMcCracken. With some tweaking I got this to run. There I could access the menu but when in the game itself the mouse cursor would not show up and the console would come up with a repeating error.
I have even tried to disable gatekeeper altogether. It doesn't look that it has to do with gatekeeper.
This is strange, it runs on my Silicon Mac as a compiled app with an open warning, the same app I uploaded here...
Try running xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "path to the app"
in Terminal and then launch it. If it helps I'll be updating the instructions, if it doesn't I just don't know for now, sorry :(
Had the same issue. That terminal command you provided worked for me. :)
The terminal command worked for me
Oooh, this is promising - and honestly fun on its own as a little thought-experiment minigame!
When the knight get down, it look like is testicles are visible ... The graphics are passable, there is no story, no difficulty... Only the voice are well done.
Thanks for the sharing, you put a lot of work in it, sadly, it need a lot more to made this a decent game...
Screw you.
Fun little prologue. Lovely art!
